Cleaning and storage
Proper storage can extend the life of your travel bags while protecting them from scratches, abrasions, and other damage. Be sure to clean your bags after unpacking and before placing them in storage.
- After unpacking bags, shake out any left over debris.
- Vacuum the interior of bags, making sure you get into any corners or crevasses in the interior.
- Wipe both the interior and exterior of the bag with a damp cloth (we recommend a microfiber cloth) and warm water. You can also use a mild or gentle soap mixture for a deeper clean.
- Leave the bag open to air out and dry completely before storing.
- Please note we do not recommend using paper towels, tissues, napkins, or diaper wipes to clean your bag, as the fibers can break apart and stick to the fabric.
*Please see below for extra care instructions on how to care for your luggage stroller.
🧳 Carry On Luggage Stroller
What age is the stroller suitable for?
The luggage stroller is designed to accommodate children of various ages, from 6 months (when they have developed enough neck strength to hold their heads up independently) all the way up to a 3-4 year old toddler depending on their size.
What is the max weight for a child?
This versatile travel stroller is certified to international ASTM standards and approved by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) for a child weighing up to 48.5 lbs (22 kg). As a guide it’s best suited for a child up to approx. 3’7” (110cm) in height.
What is the luggage capacity?
The TernX Carry On luggage offers a generous 18 L (4.8 gal) storage capacity, providing ample space for all your travel essentials. Additionally, it features a convenient under- seat basket with a 4.4 lbs (2 kg) capacity for extra storage. This is the best travel stroller for traveling abroad, combining functionality, space, and convenience for parents on the go.
How heavy is the luggage stroller?
It weighs approx. 16.9 lbs (7.7 kg) and the luggage dimensions are 9” x 14” x 22” (23 cm x 36 cm x 55 cm). The TernX Carry On is the only suitcase in the world that’s also a certified stroller.
Can the seat recline?
The seat reclines into two positions (99° and 126°) provides excellent support for your child's back. The upright position and supportive backrest help encourage good posture from an early age. The backrest height is also adjustable, extending from 15" (38cm) to 19.7" (50cm), allowing it to grow along with your child.
Where do you store the canopy?
When not in use the canopy can be stored inside the luggage compartment without adding any extra bulk or hassle to your travel experience. Check out it our HERE.
How does it handle uneven surfaces?
Thanks to its independent front wheel suspension and smart design the luggage stroller handles various surfaces with ease. Check out our irregular surface testing HERE.
Does the luggage work like a spinner or rollerboard?
The TernX Carry On Luggage Stroller functions as a 2-wheeled suitcase that you pull behind, rather than a 4-wheeled spinner that rolls beside you. We specifically designed it to fit easily in overhead bins, and 2-wheeled luggage provides a better fit since the wheels can be recessed, keeping them nearly flush with the suitcase's profile for more efficient storage and travel.
Can I adjust the luggage handle height?
Yes! When using the luggage stroller as carry-on luggage, you can adjust the handle height to three different settings: 111 cm, 117 cm, and 124 cm.
Can I take the luggage stroller on a plane?
Yes. The TernX Carry On has been specifically designed to meet IATA and universally accepted carry-on size standards for the majority of airlines. It fits both in the overhead compartment and under the seat. However, cabin luggage size requirements can vary by airline, so we always recommend checking with your airline before traveling.
Does the stroller fit in the plane aisle?
The TernX Carry On Luggage Stroller is designed to fit within the dimensions of standard carry-on luggage and is compact enough to be pushed down the aisle for most airlines. However, we always recommend checking with your airline prior to traveling for any guidelines or restrictions they may have regarding strollers.
Why the premium price tag?
Innovation and quality often come with a price, and we understand we are not for everyone. We could have made it less expensive by removing the luggage feature, but then it would be just another travel stroller.
Hopefully one day we'll be able to order materials in enough quantity to bring the cost down.
That said, the TernX Carry On will never be as inexpensive as ordinary strollers because there's nothing ordinary about it.
Do travel strollers count as carry-on?
Strollers are typically considered "special items" and often don’t count toward your carry-on luggage. However, please keep in mind many travel strollers exceed airline size limits, which may require you to gate check them. To avoid this, it’s essential to ensure your stroller meets your airline’s carry-on size requirements, as gate-checking can increase the risk of damage.
The good news: the TernX Carry On Luggage Stroller is designed to fit within the dimensions accepted by most major airlines, offering a hassle-free travel experience.
Will airlines see this as a cabin luggage or stroller?
Most airlines will classify the TernX as a stroller due to its design and functionality, allowing you to bring it on board without extra fees. You maybe need to fold it when you reach with aircraft door or check it at the gate if space is limited. Each airline has its own requirements so it's best to check with your specific airline before traveling to ensure compliance.

What is the suitcase stroller made from?
At TernX, we're committed to finding the most sustainable solutions for our products and the planet. That's why our luggage shells are crafted from 100% recycled German polycarbonate. The stroller frame is made from aerospace aluminum.
Is this an one second fold stroller?
We're not a one-second fold stroller and that's precisely the point. All strollers are not created equal, nor should they be. While we understand we might not be for everyone, it may just be for you. Our focus is on safety, stability, and convenience. So, while our unfolding might take seconds instead of "one second", it's all for good reason. We're all about offering a one of a kind solution that combines the best of both worlds – a suitcase and stroller in one!
What is the huroo™ system?
We're excited to share our awesome huroo™ system with you! It's all about bringing ultimate convenience to our products, helping make your life easier and smoother. We believe in purposeful design, where every component serves a valuable role, prioritizing your comfort, convenience, and safety. With huroo™, we aim to simplify parenting and make family travel a breeze.
Can it be checked-in the aircraft cargo?
We recommend not having the TernX Carry On Luggage Stroller checked-in as it's been designed to be taken onboard as a carry-on, and mishandling of the product may cause damage.
How to care for the luggage stroller?
Please follow these additional steps to properly care for your luggage stroller:
- Ensure the luggage and frame are kept clean and dry. If the stroller becomes dirty or wet, dry it promptly (we recommend using a microfiber cloth). Avoid letting dirt, sand, or dust accumulate, and clean off any debris as soon as possible to maintain full functionality. Neglecting to do so may result in the product malfunctioning either partially or fully.
- To clean the frame, use a damp microfiber cloth with warm water. For a deeper clean, you can add a mild soap solution. Always leave the luggage stroller open to air out and dry completely before storing it.
- Occasionally, you might notice slight oil marks on the telescopic handle. This is completely normal and comes from the lubricant applied to the joints during manufacturing. To clean it, use a damp microfiber cloth with warm water.
- If the soft goods become dirty, hand wash them and hang them to dry, following the care label instructions for best results. Keep in mind that prolonged sun exposure may cause the materials and textiles to fade.
- Regularly check the wheels for wear and clean them of dirt, ensuring no debris is stuck. To keep the brake pedal operating smoothly, apply silicone spray lubricant regularly and protect it from dirt and liquids.
