What makes a perfect travel stroller? Does it have to be lightweight and compact? Or is function more important? What I've learned personally is that a great stroller is one that's not strictly a stroller. It can be more! And when talking of innovation, there's very little competition to what TernX carry on stroller brings to the table.
Why Upgrade to a Travel Stroller?
I didn't give much thought about strollers until I started traveling with my baby. By then, it became apparent that the our travel experiences will be greatly influenced by the baby equipment I choose.
I've looked around for an everyday stroller, which I did find. However, it wasn't able to keep up with my evolving lifestyle, and the needs of my baby. Simply put, traveling with standard equipment isn't ideal.

Checking in a standard or full-size stroller can be a slow and sometimes confusing process, and it doesn't get easier when deplaning. Some people might get used to it, but carrying luggage along with a car seat and/or stroller separately for our flights got me rethinking my approach pretty fast.
This led me to shop for a travel stroller with convenience, comfort, and portability in mind. If you're deep into research like I once was, then you're likely aware of some great innovations in the travel stroller market, a suitcase stroller among them.
What is the TernX Travel Stroller?
You can check in most strollers at the gate, which is usually your best option if you don't have a compact setup that qualifies as a carry-on. With a luggage stroller, you may be able to skip the process of checking them in separately.
It's one of the key reasons I opted for my TernX Carry-On Luggage Stroller. It has a compact fold and fits in the overhead bin, which means I can bring it onboard with all our essentials. To be precise, TernX folds into 21 x 14 x 9 inch at rest, fitting most airline's advised carry on dimensions.
Furthermore, the 18L storage provides us with sufficient space to support our entire trip. If we're traveling light and TernX is all we have, we don't even need to drop by the baggage claim because we have everything we need at all times. If you want to customize the experience, TernX also has some travel gears that are sold separately (e.g., compression cube, sling bag, etc.).
Apart from our travels, TernX has been a stellar and solid stroller suitable for everyday use. For one, the storage basket underneath works well during a casual stroll. It's also very agile and easy to maneuver in tight spaces, including busy urban environments.

Traveling with kids can be wholly unpredictable, so it's always nice to have more baby equipment within reach. But apart from that, my current travel setup has helped me reduce the time I spend going around the airport looking to get set. The check-in process has been seamless.
Not to be overlooked though is all the planning that goes into each flight. Of course, I have to occasionally check airline policies to make sure there'll be no surprises. But from experience, I've never had issues bringing my TernX with us on board.
In addition, I like that the stroller doesn't need a carry strap. I can easily roll it like luggage when not in use. Remember, you can only take care of so much with your two hands when traveling with your kid. So, keeping one hand free makes a significant difference.
Overall, TernX has been our go-to stroller if we're flying and mostly going around the city at our destination. It also offers a really convenient ride, with a reclinable backrest and extendable back seat feature to name a few.
In some instances, we do bring out our all-terrain stroller if we're expecting to spend more time outdoors.

What is My Usual Setup with TernX Travel Stroller?
TernX allows me to bring an extra piece of equipment or two without feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
For the most part, I like to pair my luggage stroller with a baby carrier. When up and about, I can easily switch between the two to accommodate my baby in different positions. It sounds so simple, but both me and my toddler are happy to be able to make minor adjustments from time to time.
Another equipment that goes well with my compact stroller is an infant car seat. I mean, it's quite essential for toddlers, as both parents and babies are more comfortable with it than without. However, instead of bringing one, consider renting the equipment upon arrival.
The only downside for me is that the stroller lacks car seat compatibility. However, it's not a deal breaker because car seats have different regulations in every country, so we do tend to rent on location if we really need one.
Key advantages of TernX stroller for air travel
A lightweight stroller, but full-size? Gate-checked. A compact umbrella stroller? Gate-checked. A compact travel stroller? You'll usually get a pass. A luggage stroller? Now that's more like a pro.
Here's what I like most about traveling with my TernX Carry-On Luggage Stroller:
-
Easy to maneuver even with one hand
-
Airline-approved and TSA-friendly design
-
Compact foldable stroller that's also a luggage
-
Light and compact but has enough heft to be durable and sturdy
-
Gives a modern and urban feel both as a stroller and compact luggage
-
Perfect for air travel, fits right into the overhead bin
-
Adjustable handlebar to suit different heights
-
Can travel with this stroller with just a diaper bag or carrier
One of unique things I like the most about the iF Design 2024 winner, the TernX luggage stroller, is that I can always travel with LESS since it's a 2-in-1 luggage and stroller—or I can also bring MORE and not get overwhelmed since I have one less baggage to worry about.
Lastly, it saves us so much time boarding and deplaning. There's no use learning the hard way that strollers and car seats are susceptible to damage when left with the rest of the airline baggage. But it's even more stressful to have to wait so long in the baggage claim before your equipment gets returned to you; sometimes in woeful condition.
So, yeah, flying knowing that all your essentials are safe and within reach is a game-changer. It's less stressful and I have more energy to focus on my baby during our trip.
Final Thoughts on Traveling with TernX Carry-On Luggage Stroller
If there's anything more that I want from my TernX carry-on luggage stroller, it's probably how I wish that I could use it for just a bit longer. Currently, the design is recommended for use from 6 months with a weight capacity of 48.5 lbs. (22 kg).
With that said, it holds up really well and you're next child will be just as happy and comfortable if that ever comes to pass. Overall, I can still remember the joy and excitement unboxing our TernX, it has such a distinct look and feel that we immediately knew it was not gonna be just one of those strollers. Out of the box, we loved it! During our travels? Even more!
